ANKARA
Europe's most prestigious club-level basketball tournament Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 Round 2 will start Thursday.
Turkish clubs Galatasaray Liv Hospital, Fenerbahce Ulker and Anadolu Efes will be in action. Galatasaray Liv Hospital, who made a good start to the Top 16 by defeating Lithuanian Zalgiris Kaunas in the last round, will play away to Real Madrid on January 8 Thursday. The Group E game at Barclaycard Center will tip off at 2045 CET (1945 GMT).
Meanwhile another Turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker – playing in Group F – will try to get their first win in the Top 16 against their Russian opponents Nizhny Novgorod on Friday. The game in Russia will start at 1730 CET (1630 GMT).
In Round 1 of Top 16 Fenerbahce Ulker lost to CSKA Moscow in their home court in Istanbul.
Anadolu Efes will host Spanish team Unicaja Malaga on Friday. The Group F game at Abdi Ipekci Arena in Istanbul will tip off at 1930 CET (1830 GMT). The Turkish team won against Laboral Kutxa Vitoria in an away game in the last round.
