Basketball: Round 12 in Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 ends
Fenerbahce Ulker are risking their chance to qualify for the Top 8 in the tournament owing to the loss against Italian team Emporio Armani Milan in Istanbul.

Round 12 in Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 ended on Friday. Two out of three Turkish teams lost to their opponents each in the group stage.
Galatasaray Liv Hospital toppled Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kaunas 84-72 in an away game on Thursday. Lions' triumph at Zalgiris Arena got Turkish team's hopes up for qualifying for the next round. Galatasaray Liv Hospital's Puerto Rican playmaker Carlos Arroyo scoring 19 points played an important role for the win in Kaunas. Meanwhile, in Zalgiris Kaunas top scorer of the team was Justin Dentmon who managed to score 19 points during the game.
Another Turkish team Anadolu Efes were stunned in their home court by Basque team Laboral Kutxa 105-79 on Thursday. Away team Laboral Kutxa's German center Tibor Pleiss was the key player for his team as he managed to score 20 points and grab 7 rebounds. In Anadolu Efes Turkish power forward Kerem Gonlum's 13-point-effort was not enough for a win. With this score Anadolu Efes are bringing up to rear in the group.
Turkey's Fenerbahce Ulker risked their chance to qualify for the next round in Turkish Airlines Euroleague by receiving a defeat at home. Italian team Emporio Armani Milan cruised past Fenerbahce Ulkerby 9 points, 82-73 on Friday.
Although Fenerbahce Ulker's Croatian forward Bojan Bogdanovic managed to score 24 points, the showdown ended as a Italian victory since 5 players in away team scored at least 10 points. In addition in the third quarter Fenerbahce Ulker's Serbian coach Zeljko Obradovic was sent off owing to arguing with the officials.
Game of the Round 12 was played between Catalan team Barcelona and Greek side Panathinaikos in Barcelona on Friday. Barca won against PAO 84-62, so Catalan giants extended their unbeaten run to 12 games in Top 16.
Barcelona were victorious against Panathinaikos thanks to their two players Alejandro Abrines and Erazem Lorbek who scored 15 points each. In Greek team PAO, Croatian guard Roko Ukic having 13 points was the top scorer for his team.
