ANKARA
Fenerbahce women basketball team’s Spanish manager Victor Lapena has been named the EuroLeague Women Coach of Year on Friday.
“Victor Lapena has been rewarded for an excellent first campaign at the helm of Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo by being named the EuroLeague Women Coach of the Year,” FIBA said on its website.
Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo currently sit on top of Group B in EuroLeague Women with 11 wins and three loses.
Lapena took charge of the Istanbul club in 2019, winning two domestic titles, Turkish Women's Basketball Presidential Cup and Turkish Cup.
