ISTANBUL
Istanbul-based basketball giants Fenerbahce Beko defeated TOFAS 102-68 on Saturday to lead the playoff semi-finals series 1-0 in Turkey's 'Tahincioglu Basketball Super League'.
Fenerbahce's Nicolo Melli was the top scorer with 27 points.
Regular season runner-up Fenerbahce Beko target the domestic trophy as they failed to win this season's Turkish Airlines Euroleague title in May.
The team with three wins will reach to the final. The second match will be played on June 3.
Meanwhile, the regular season leader Anadolu Efes will face Galatasaray in the other playoff semifinal match.
Anadolu Efes are leading the series 1-0 against Galatasaray.
The second match will be played on Sunday in Istanbul.
