ANKARA
Barcelona won against Partizan 87-79 in Belgrade to return to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague's top spot Wednesday.
Serbian guard Kevin Punter, a Barcelona player, was the game's highest scorer with 18 points.
The Spanish club's US forward Jabari Parker produced 17 points, while his Czech teammate Jan Vesely racked up 12 points for Barcelona at Belgrade Arena.
US guard Carlik Jones led Partizan with 17 points and Serbian forward Aleksej Pokusevski added 12 points for the hosts.
Barcelona improved to 7-2 to lead the EuroLeague standings.
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade have a 2-7 win/loss record to be in 15th spot.
In their next game, Barcelona will face Paris Basketball in a home match on Friday.
In another Round 9 game, Paris Basketball on Wednesday beat their Lithuanian opponents Zalgiris Kaunas 83-77 at Paris' Adidas Arena.
TJ Shorts scored a game-high 21 points for Paris Basketball to be the key player for the win. The visitors' Ignas Brazdeikis led Zalgiris Kaunas with 15 points in Paris.
Paris Basketball had their sixth win in nine appearances to be fifth in the standings.
Zalgiris Kaunas are sixth as they have gone 6-3 in the EuroLeague regular season.
Round 10 will begin on Thursday.
