US center signs one-year contract with French club

ANKARA
American basketball player Kevarrius Hayes has moved to France's ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, the club announced on Monday.
The 23-year-old center inked a one-year contract with the French club.
"Kevarrius is exactly the profile we wanted to add to our workforce. His professional beginnings were quite impressive and his room for improvement is still very large," the statement read.
"His boundless energy will surely please supporters!," director of basketball operations, Nicolas BATUM, said on the club's website.
Hayes, 23, averaged 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks when he was in Pallacanestro Cantu of Italy.
