ISTANBUL
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys will face off in Australian Open women's final at Rod Laver Arena on Saturday.
Sabalenka beat Paula Badosa to reach her third straight final in Melbourne with straight-sets win after one hour and 26 minutes on Centre Court.
Keys, 29, secured her spot by defeating second-seeded Iga Swiatek, a five-time Grand Slam women’s singles champion, in a thrilling semifinal match at Rod Laver Arena.
The match lasted two hours and 35 minutes, with Keys emerging victorious with a 2-1 scoreline, featuring sets of 5-7, 6-1, and 7-6.
Sabalenka is one win away from becoming the first woman since Swiss player Martina Hingis (1997-1999) to clinch three consecutive Australian Open titles.
