7th Ethnosport Forum to open in Russia's St. Petersburg with global participation
Event to focus on reviving traditional sports and long-term development strategies

ISTANBUL
The 7th Ethnosport Forum, themed “The Reviving of Traditional Sports,” will kick off Saturday in St. Petersburg, Russia, with delegates from 75 countries expected to take part.
The opening ceremony will feature an address by Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan, president of the World Ethnosport Confederation. Anadolu is serving as the forum’s global communication partner.
Following the welcoming remarks, a high-level ministers’ panel will formally launch the two-day event, bringing together senior government officials to discuss strategic policy directions.
Throughout the forum, participants will engage in sessions, panels and strategic meetings centered on developing short-, medium-, and long-term plans for the promotion and sustainability of traditional sports.
Key topics will include international cooperation, financial sustainability, and media strategies.
Academics, federation representatives and researchers will contribute to the panels, aiming to build a comprehensive roadmap for the future of traditional sports.
