Turkish firm Radio Teknoloji will unveil its hybrid wireless system Astradrive at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), taking place July 22-27 at the Istanbul Expo Center.

Radio Teknoloji develops broadband wireless connectivity solutions designed to operate in harsh environments for both civilian and military applications. Astradrive is expected to open a new chapter in wireless connectivity for security, maritime, and industrial operations.

Ilyas Pehlivanoglu, Radio Teknoloji’s deputy general manager, told Anadolu that Astradrive was designed to provide low-latency, high-bandwidth, and uninterrupted connectivity where traditional solutions fall short, ensuring seamless mobility and wide coverage even in high interference conditions.

Astradrive’s 6G-compatible architecture makes it stand out as a future-proof solution, while its real-time data flow capabilities and its remote coordination feature allow it to run uninterrupted.

With its self-healing mesh design, Astradrive will support mobile command centers, industrial facilities, infrastructure security, and remote surveillance.

The backpack-style unit provides radio coverage to mobile personnel, via mesh networks and star topology designs, allowing seamless communication with command vehicles and mobile teams.

Astradrive’s long-range wireless coverage provides reliable ship-to-shore connections across open seas. The system’s maritime-grade components resist corrosion and harsh weather, while its adaptive modulation feature enables it to be used in motion — essential for fleet coordination, safe navigation, and seamless integration with port operations.

Built to withstand dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures, Astradrive also operates in mining and industrial settings, supporting remote equipment control, real-time monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

Astradrive will allow for dozens of ships operating in open seas and military vehicles in transit to transfer data at a 200-megabyte bandwidth per second over a distance of 30 kilometers (18.6 miles).
