ISTANBUL

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday unveiled a new domestically-produced “drone missile.”

In a statement on X, Zelenskyy said that the first batch of Peklo “drone missiles” were delivered to the country’s Defense Forces.

“The mission now is to scale up production and deployment,” he said.

While Zelenskyy provided no further information on Peklo’s specifics, a separate statement by the Ukrainian presidency said its range is 700 kilometers (435 miles).

It added that the “drone missile” can reach a speed of 700 kilometers per hour (435 miles per hour).

Peklo is the second such locally-produced “drone missile” to have been unveiled by Ukraine after the Palianytsia, which was unveiled back in August.
