Ukraine will receive about 1.8 million artillery shells this year under the Czech ammunition initiative, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said following talks with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Sybiha said they discussed the full agenda of bilateral relations, including military support, joint arms production, energy security, and Czech participation in the Grain from Ukraine initiative, as well as reconstruction and support for Ukrainian citizens in Czechia.

He also thanked Prague for establishing a training center for Ukrainian F-16 pilots, supporting Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and maintaining a firm stance on increasing sanctions against Russia.

Lipavsky said on X that he and Sybiha are “united not only by our shared goal to end Russia’s war of aggression, but also by friendship and an honest dialogue.”

In March, Ukrainian and Czech leaders agreed to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership.
