Ukraine on Monday said its counteroffensive against Russian forces takes place every day.

“The Ukrainian counteroffensive takes place every day. We are not waiting for magic dates, we are acting calmly, systematically and consistently destroying the Russian invaders,” head of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on Twitter.

On Sunday, Andriy Yusov, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, said that a decision on Ukraine’s counteroffensive will be made by the country’s military leadership and that the circle of people informed of these plans is as limited as possible.

Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov told the New Voice of Ukraine media outlet last Wednesday that there will be a counteroffensive conducted by the Ukrainian armed forces, but that there is no exact date for the offensive due to factors such as weather and soil conditions.

"That is why the General Staff will choose the best timing, as it happened at one time, for example, in the Kharkiv direction," Reznikov said.
