Russia eases citizenship rules for residents of Moscow-controlled areas in Ukraine
President Putin signs decree to fast-track citizenship for residents of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions
MOSCOW
President Vladimir Putin signed on Wednesday a decree easing Russian citizenship rules for residents of Ukraine's Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, which are currently under control of Russian army.
Under the decree, effectively immediately, decision on applications by residents of the said regions has to be made within three months.
