Russia claims to have taken another village in Ukraine
Vishneve in Dnipropetrovsk region now under Russia's control, according to Defense Ministry
MOSCOW
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Wednesday that its forces have taken control of the Ukrainian village of Vishneve in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In a statement, the ministry said the settlement was captured following an operation by the Vostok (East) group of forces.
The statement also reported that Ukrainian air raids were repelled overnight, with two guided aviation bombs and 238 drones allegedly shot down.
Ukraine has not yet commented on these claims. Independent verification of the battlefield situation remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
