Russia claims to have seized 6 settlements in Ukraine's Donetsk region
Defense Ministry says its forces took control of Torske, Kotlyarivka, Myrolyubivka, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Vilne Pole settlements over past week

ISTANBUL
Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Friday that its forces seized six settlements in eastern Ukraine over the past week.
According to a ministry statement, Russian troops advanced in the Donetsk region and took control of Torske, Kotlyarivka, Myrolyubivka, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Vilne Pole settlements.
The statement added that Russian forces carried out high-precision strikes on military infrastructure across Ukraine, including facilities linked to missile and drone production.
Ukraine has yet to comment on Russia’s claims, and independent verification remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
