MOSCOW

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Friday that its forces have taken control of 10 Ukrainian settlements over the past week.

The settlements are located in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, according to a ministry statement.

In response to Ukrainian drone attacks, Russia reportedly conducted one mass and six group strikes against Ukrainian military industrial enterprises and the energy facilities supporting them.

The ministry claimed that 22 military warehouses were destroyed in Ukraine during the same period.

According to the statement, Ukrainian air raids were repelled, with one Su-27 fighter jet, four cruise missiles, 18 guided aviation bombs, 15 HIMARS rockets, and 1,441 drones shot down over the last week.

Ukraine has not yet commented on these claims. Independent verification remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
