Netherlands to invest $752M for Ukraine’s defense industry
The Netherlands will keep backing Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression,' says Dutch premier after speaking with Ukraine's Zelenskyy

ISTANBUL
Netherlands plans to invest €700 million ($752 million) to help support Ukraine’s defense industry, the Dutch prime minister announced Wednesday on X.
Saying that he and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about developments in the wake of Sunday's meeting in London, Dick Schoof added: “We discussed a Dutch investment package worth €700 million for drones, aimed partly at Ukraine’s defence industry."
Schoof also reiterated Dutch political, military, financial and moral support for Ukraine.
“The Netherlands will keep backing Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression,” he added.
With serious questions over whether Ukraine can expect any more aid from the US, many European leaders have stepped up to stress their continued support.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Sunday hosted a summit of European leaders to brief partners and allies about his meeting with US President Donald Trump on Ukraine and international security issues.
Starmer said European leaders have agreed to draw up a Ukraine peace plan to present to the US.
French President Emmanuel Macron told the daily Le Figaro that the plan would involve a one-month ceasefire that would apply to air and sea attacks but not to ground combat.
