Kazakh president urges diplomatic efforts to end Ukrainian conflict
Kazakh, Ukrainian presidents meet on sidelines of UN General Assembly meeting in New York

MOSCOW
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called for diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the Ukraine conflict, as he met his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to a statement released by his office.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting they also "discussed questions related to bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation," the statement said.
Zelenskyy presented his perspective on the situation in Ukraine, the readout said, adding: "President Tokayev stated that under these extremely complex circumstances it is essential to continue diplomatic efforts aimed at finding ways to end the conflict."
