Air raid alerts sounded across all regions of Ukraine on Tuesday, including the capital Kyiv, due to impending Russian attacks, local officials said.

Local authorities took to Telegram to urge residents to move to bomb shelters, while Andriy Yermak, head of Ukraine’s presidential office, urged Ukrainians to not “ignore the alarm” through a message on Telegram.

No warnings were reported in the Crimea region, which Russia illegally annexed in 2014.

Air raid alerts sound in Ukraine almost on a daily basis due to possible missile and drone strikes, which have targeted the country’s civilian and energy infrastructure.

Earlier, Ukraine’s sole power grid operator announced that an energy shortage of 30% has been recorded in the country’s energy system due to worsening weather conditions and emergency shutdowns caused by Russian strikes last week.
