Turkish president meets with Palestinian vice president in Ankara

ANKARA

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh in Ankara, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said on Tuesday.

A closed-door gathering took place at the Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital, the directorate said in a statement.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Intelligence Organization Director Ibrahim Kalin, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran and Akif Cagatay Kilic, the president’s chief adviser on foreign policy and security, were present at the event.

No further details were provided regarding the meeting.
