ANKARA
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu received Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna in Ankara on Wednesday.
According to Prime Ministry sources, Davutoglu and Schetyna agreed on cooperating in the energy, defense industry and tourism fields.
The two high-ranking officials also talked about the latest regional and international developments, especially the situation in Ukraine and Turkey's EU accession process.
Tension has remained high in eastern Ukraine with separatists frequently breaching a Feb. 15 cease-fire signed in the Belarusian capital of Minsk.
Ukrainian and European leaders accuse Russia of supporting the conflict by providing arms and ammunition to the separatists, while Russia says the U.S. and EU have deliberately destabilized Ukraine to expand the West's military presence in eastern Europe through NATO.
More than 6,000 people have lost their lives in the conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists since April 2014, according to the UN.
