Turkish premier meets Chinese president

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday met with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing as part of his talks in China.

BEIJING

Jintao gave Erdogan a warm welcome in their meeting at the Chinese National Assembly, saying that he was pleased to have the Turkish premier in China.
"Premier Erdogan has a very busy agenda on his visit in our country. I believe that your visit will contribute to development of cooperation between our two nations and further improve our strategic partnership," Hu told reporters before a gathering of Turkish and Chinese delegations.  
Erdogan, on his part, said he had fruitful talks with his Chinese counterpart on Monday which he said featured several agreement penned for boosting cooperation in economic, commercial, cultural, military and political fields.
Erdogan also extended an invitation by Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Hu to visit Turkey in June.

Erdogan on Tuesday held separate meetings with Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo and Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
