The speaker of Turkey's parliament on Friday congratulated Morocco on the 22nd anniversary of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI.

In a letter to Morroco's speaker of the House of Representatives, Habin El Malki, and speaker of the House of Councilors, Abdelhakim Benchamach, Mustafa Sentop said Turkey attaches great importance to its relations with Morocco.

“Inter-parliamentary visits and contacts, which we can intensify with our joint efforts, will undoubtedly contribute positively to these relations,” Sentop wrote.

“As I celebrate your national day, once again I wish you and your esteemed members of the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Moroccan House of Councilors good health and success,” he added.

King Mohammed VI was enthroned on July 30, 1999, following the passing of his father, King Hassan II, on July 23, 1999.
