DAMASCUS (AA) - At least 81 people were killed on Wednesday in attacks staged by the Syrian regime in several cities across Syria, activists said.
Assad forces killed 20 people in Aleppo, 18 in the suburbs of capital Damascus and 43 others in cities across Syria, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group which tracks civilian and dissident casualties.
11 children and 12 women were among the dead with many people injured.
Meanwhile Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) said fierce clashes took place between the Syrian opposition and the regime forces at the Syrian-Jordanian border gate and the opposition forces made major gains.
However, SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces had made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
More than 100.000 people have died in the two and half year conflict, according to the UN and and over 2 million people have fled the country.
