138 people, including 25 children and 22 women, were killed in a series of air and land strikes staged by the Syrian regime, acivists said.
Syrian regime forces killed 17 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 99 in Aleppo, 9 in Homs, six in Daraa, four in Hama, two in Idlib, one in Deir-ez Zor, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group which tracks civilian and dissident casualties.
Syrian Local Committee Council's Media Responsible for Aleppo, Ahmad Mohammad Ali, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that Assad regime forces attacked the opposition forces with thirty barrel bombs targeted at 15 different areas in Aleppo.
Ali said because of the regime attacks, people started to flee the city, and added "The helicopter attacks destroyed lots of areas. People are trying to run away from the attacks. Some parts of the towns are now deserted."
Meanwhile, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said in a statement that aircraft attacks under the control of the regime killed dozens in the Muleyha town of Damascus.
SRGC reported that regime forces defused armed groups and destroyed their vehicles in countrywide operations. A search and rescue mission continues with people attempting to remove bodies trapped from a house wreckage.
