TASHKENT
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a Eurasian political, economic and military organization founded in 2001, will hold its conference in the Uzbekistan capital, Tashkent, on Friday.
The Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry said the following prime ministers from their respective countries would attend the conference: Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev, Chinese Prime minister Li Keqiang, Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Ahmedov, Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Jantoroo Satibaldiyev, Tajikistan Prime Minister Kahir Rasulzade, and Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Senior executives such as the SCO Secretary General Dmitriy Mezentsev, and Director Zhang Xinfeng of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Counter-terrorism Structure will also attend the conference.
