A group of demonstrators gathered at Sergels Torg Square in the Swedish capital Stockholm on Sunday to express their support for Palestine and condemn the Israeli occupation.

During the rally, which was organized through social media, the demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and carried banners, sending a powerful message of solidarity.

They chanted slogans such as "Boycott Israel," "Free Palestine" and "Israel is killing our children," expressing their deep concern for the ongoing crisis in the region.

Banners reading "No to the Gaza prison camp" and "Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine" were also prominently displayed, reflecting the demonstrators' unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause.

In a joint statement released during the protest, the demonstrators underlined their steadfast support for the Palestinian people, emphasizing that they will continue to stand with them in their struggle for justice and freedom.

The Palestinian group Hamas launched its biggest attack on Israel in decades on Saturday, firing thousands of rockets and capturing many Israelis. It dubbed the action Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, saying it was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and increased settler violence.

At least 700 Israelis have been killed and over 2,300 others wounded in the attack, according to the Israeli Health Ministry.

Israel retaliated with a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 410 Palestinians and wounding at least 2,300 others.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to use all of Israel’s strength to destroy Hamas’ capabilities and “take revenge for this black day.”
