MOSCOW
Russian Premier Dmitriy Medvedev said that his country would always support the establishment of a contemporary and strong Palestinian state.
Speaking to reporters in Moscow, Medvedev underlined that Russia would always support the establishment of a Palestinian state.
"Russia will contribute to facilitate stable peace in the Middle East and to the development of economic and social relations with the Palestinian state," Medvedev noted.
President Abbas, in his part, said that their relations with Russia carried historic significance.
"Our relations with Russia are developing every minute. Our relations with Russia would be more comprehensive once an independent Palestinian state is established," Abbas also said.
