ISTANBUL 

Turkiye’s president met Mohammed al-Halbousi, the speaker of Iraq’s parliament, and Khamis al-Khanjar, leader of the al-Azm Front, in Istanbul on Saturday.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a closed-door meeting with the two Iraqi officials at the Vahdettin Mansion, according to the Presidency of Turkiye.

Hakan Fidan, head of Turkiye’s National Intelligence Organization, also attended the meeting.
