Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday urged the global community to raise its voice to ensure uninterrupted access to humanitarian aid for Palestine, stressing the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, which has been under Israel's attack for almost two years, in a meeting with his Somali counterpart.

Erdogan told Hassan Sheikh Mohamud that stepping up sanctions against Israel is important, as economic measures will yield results in the meeting, which was held on the margins of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)-Arab League Extraordinary Summit in Doha.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Somalia, as well as regional and global developments.

President Erdogan also noted that cooperation between Türkiye and Somalia is advancing steadily and that Ankara’s support for Somalia will continue to grow.
