The Qatar Charity Sunday delivered humanitarian aid to thousands of Syrians struggling in tents amid cold winter conditions in Bekaa city's Arsal region in Lebanon.

In a written statement by the charity organization, it was said that the Syrians needy of urgent assistance were helped within the frame of "help Arsal" campaign, supported by Qatar Development Fund.

The statement read that the aid was in line with the previously announced $50 million Qatar spared for the needy Syrian refugees.

Some 11,000 Syrian families were delivered humanitarian aid; 5,000 of them were provided fuel to counter heating problems and some 4,000 thousand were given coupons to buy winter clothes.

Early this year, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ordered to allocate a donation worth $50 million to extend a hand to the Syrian refugees scattered to various counties.

Arsal region is currently home to some 60,000 Syrian refugees who struggle in scrappy tents in difficult winter conditions.
