Israeli strikes kill 22 displaced Palestinians across Gaza Strip
More than 100 others wounded when Israeli forces bombed civilians waiting for aid in central Gaza

GAZA CITY, Palestine/ANKARA
At least 22 Palestinians, including children, were killed and dozens injured on Sunday in Israeli attacks on tents sheltering displaced civilians and crowds waiting for humanitarian aid across various areas of the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.
Eleven people lost their lives and 101 others were injured when Israeli forces bombed civilians waiting for aid on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza, Al-Awda Hospital said.
A Palestinian woman and her child were also killed in an Israeli strike on a residential apartment in Gaza City, medics said.
Medical teams at Nasser Medical Hospital in Khan Younis confirmed that five civilians, including children, were killed and others injured when an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza.
Four more civilians were killed and others wounded in a drone strike on a tent for displaced Palestinians in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, a source from the Al-Aqsa Hospital said.
In eastern Gaza City, Israeli forces detonated an explosive-laden robot in the Shejaiya neighborhood, according to eyewitnesses. No information was immediately available regarding casualties from the blast.
The attacks came although Israel announced plans on Sunday for localized temporary pauses in fighting to allow aid deliveries through designated safe corridors, amid mounting accusations that such measures are an attempt to whitewash its role in the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
Israel has killed more than 59,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system, and led to severe food shortages.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
