Israeli army launches new wave of 'extensive' airstrikes in Iran
Army says attacks targeted Tehran, Isfahan, southern Iran
ISTANBUL
The Israeli army said Monday that it launched a wave of "extensive" airstrikes targeting three areas in Iran, including the capital Tehran.
A military statement said the strikes targeted Tehran, Isfahan, and southern Iran, without giving details about the targets.
Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,200 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Tehran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
