Israeli army kills Palestinian after besieging him in home in West Bank
Army raids neighborhood in eastern Nablus, cordons off home, bomb it with grenades

RAMALLAH, Palestine/ANKARA
The Israeli army killed a Palestinian on Friday after besieging him in a home in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said medical teams removed the body of the victim in eastern Nablus.
Israeli forces fired several Energa grenades at the home, resulting in the death of the victim, according to the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.
Witnesses said the army pushed more reinforcement into the area amid a fire exchange with Palestinian fighters.
At least 962 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers in the West Bank since the start of the onslaught in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, according to Palestinian figures.
The International Court of Justice declared in July 2024 that Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land is illegal and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
