Israeli army kills 22 more Palestinians in Gaza amid home detonations
Several civilians trapped under rubble of buildings struck in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza City

GAZA CITY, Palestine/ISTANBUL
At least 22 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured in fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, as the army continued to detonate homes in Gaza City, according to medics and witnesses.
Medical sources told Anadolu that four people were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a high-rise building in central Gaza City. Several others were trapped under the rubble, witnesses said.
In the western part of the city, five Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli strike on a house in the Shati refugee camp.
Nine more people lost their lives in several Israeli strikes that targeted various parts of Gaza City.
A number of civilians were injured, and others were still missing under the rubble after an Israeli strike hit a house in the same area.
In southern Gaza City, the army continued to blow up buildings and facilities via detonating booby-trapped vehicles in the Tel Hawa and Sabra neighborhoods, leaving massive destruction.
In central Gaza, the Israeli army targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in Zuwaida, killing two people and injuring others.
Israeli artillery shelled the eastern parts of the Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip and the center of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Two fishermen lost their lives to Israeli gunfire off the coast of Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, Israeli army forces reinforced their presence in several neighborhoods of Gaza City, as the army deployed another armored division into Gaza City, witnesses said.
Israel launched Operation “Gideon Chariots 2” earlier this month, aiming at the complete occupation of Gaza City. Nearly 1 million Palestinians, most of them displaced from other parts of the enclave, remain trapped under relentless bombardment.
The Israeli army has killed over 65,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases.
