GAZA CITY, Palestine
At least 10 Palestinians were killed on Friday in Israeli forces attack on two homes in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
"Five Palestinians were martyred and others injured by (Israeli forces) while targeting the Qandeel family’s home in central Khan Younis city," a source at the Nasser Medical Complex told Anadolu.
Another five people were killed when Israeli artillery shelled the Shehada family’s home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to a medical source.
Eyewitnesses also reported increased Israeli shelling in the Gaza Strip, resulting in more Palestinian casualties.
Early on Friday, medical sources reported that 18 Palestinians, including four children, were killed in airstrikes by Israeli warplanes targeting the central Gaza Strip, with one of the strikes hitting tents set up for displaced persons in what the Israeli military claims a "humanitarian safe zone.”
Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip has killed nearly 40,900 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 94,200 others, according to local health authorities.
An ongoing blockade of the enclave has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the region in ruins.
Israel faces accusations of genocide for its actions in Gaza at the International Court of Justice.
