Five Lebanese protesters were injured on Tuesday as the Israeli army fired tear gas at them on the Lebanon-Israel border.

The Lebanese News Agency said the protesters “climbed the concrete wall separating Lebanon and occupied Palestine in the southern [Lebanese] town of Adaisseh.”

According to the agency, protesters threw stones on an Israeli tank and in turn, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters at them, injuring five and suffocating others.

The protesters also “uprooted the spy cameras installed on the iron tower above the wall,” the agency reported.

The Lebanese-Israeli border is witnessing daily angry protests in support of Palestine against the Israeli aggression.

At least 213 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed and 1,442 others injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since May 10, according to the Palestinian authorities.

Also, 12 Israelis have reportedly been killed in rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

The recent tensions that started in East Jerusalem during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan spread to Gaza as a result of Israeli assaults on worshippers in the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

Israel occupied East Jerusalem, where Al-Aqsa is located, during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. It annexed the entire city in 1980 in a move never recognized by the international community.
