At least 28 Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Friday as Israeli forces carried out airstrikes across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, medical sources reported.

In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, five people were killed and others wounded when Israeli forces targeted tents sheltering displaced families in the al-Mawasi area.

A child was shot dead in displaced families’ tents west of the city.

In Rafah, two Palestinians were shot and killed near an aid distribution point.

Three Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid near the Nitzarim axis.

Five more people were killed and several were injured after an airstrike hit a residential home in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood of southwest Gaza City.

Further north, in the Al-Sudaniyah area, four people were killed and others wounded when Israel targeted a tent housing displaced families.

In the central Gaza Strip, three people were killed and others were injured in an airstrike on a home in the Al-Bureij refugee camp.

In Deir al-Balah city, a man and his wife were killed and several others were wounded when a home on Al-Salam Street was struck.

Three more people were killed in strikes on a procession of residents on Abu Husni Street in the same city.

During the night, Israeli forces conducted demolition operations using explosive drones in the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods of southern Gaza, as well as Al-Saftawi and Al-Nazla in the north, alongside intensive artillery shelling.

Israel has killed around 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
