Thick smoke was seen rising near Israel’s Rabin power plant in the coastal city of Hadera on Wednesday following a missile barrage from Iran, Israeli media reported.

The Israel Electric Corporation claimed that there was no damage to its infrastructure from the attack.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said sirens warning of missile fire sounded across the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and other parts of central Israel.

Channel 12 said debris from intercepted missiles fell in about 30 locations across central and northern Israel following the latest barrage.

The outlet also reported that launches from Iran were detected three times within half an hour toward central Israel.

Israeli media earlier reported that a fire broke out in Hadera after the missile barrage.

The US and Israel have maintained airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, killing so far over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
