ISTANBUL

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been sworn in for a new six-year presidential term.

According to the State Information Service, the oath ceremony was held in the new parliament building in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, eastern Cairo.

Last December, al-Sisi won the presidential election with 89.9% of the votes, securing his third term as the country's president.
