Egyptian authorities have released three Palestinians from prison, Palestinian group Hamas said.
In a statement, Hamas said its leader Ismail Haniyeh met the three Palestinians, who had been arrested by Egyptian authorities a few months ago.
During the meeting, Haniyeh said relations with Egypt were developing, according to the statement.
Palestinian media identified the three Palestinians as Hossam Abu Watfeh, Mohamed Ghaith and Ayman Malika.
According to media reports, the three had been arrested at the Rafah border crossing between Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and Gaza Strip.
