GAZA CITY, Palestine/ISTANBUL

At least 32 Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured in Israeli strikes on homes and tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to medics.

A medical source told Anadolu that seven Palestinians were killed and others injured when Israeli fighter jets struck a family home in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

Four more people were killed and several others injured in strikes targeting the Al-Saftawi neighborhood of northern Gaza City. Another Palestinian lost his life in an Israeli attack in the city center, while several other people were injured in a drone strike west of the city.

The Israeli army continued to carry out home demolitions via booby-trapped devices in the northern Gaza Strip, including the Jabalia al-Nazla area and southern Gaza City, as part of a broader operation launched on Aug. 11 under an occupation plan.

In central Gaza, the Israeli army targeted a tent sheltering displaced families, killing two civilians in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Nine more people were killed when Israeli forces shelled civilians waiting for aid delivery in the central and southern Gaza Strip.

A mother and her toddler lost their lives after the Israeli army hit a warehouse sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

The Israeli army shelled a house in the Bureij refugee camp, resulting in the death of one Palestinian and wounding others, as many people, including women and children, remain trapped under the rubble.

In southern Gaza, six Palestinians, including a couple and three of their children, were killed in an Israeli strike on their tent in northwestern Khan Younis.

The Israeli army also shelled the vicinity of Asdaa prison in the same city, without reports of any injuries.

Israel has killed nearly 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
