Bomb blast in northern Afghanistan kills 15
27 also injured as explosion devastates religious seminary in Samangan province

ISLAMABAD
At least 15 people were killed and 27 others injured in a bomb explosion in the Samangan province of northern Afghanistan on Wednesday, local media said.
The bomb exploded inside a religious seminary when hundreds of people, including students, were performing noon prayers, Tolo News reported, citing local officials.
According to a local hospital, 27 injured people are under treatment.
Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Nafi Takor also confirmed the blast and said it occurred in Madrassa Al-Jihad in Aibak city, the capital of Samangan province
“Around 10 students were martyred and a number of others were injured. Our security forces have arrived on the spot,” he said in an initial statement.
