At least 30 Palestinians killed by Israeli army fire in Gaza
Israeli strikes target Catholic church, tents sheltering displaced families

GAZA CITY, Palestine / ISTANBUL
At least 30 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a new wave of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, said medical sources.
In the latest attack, the Israeli army shelled Jabalia city, killing three people and injuring others.
Three people were killed and several injured, including the parish priest of the Holy Family Catholic Church, when Israeli warplanes struck the church in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
Eight people were killed in Israeli strikes targeting civilians gathered for aid distribution in Gaza City, medics said.
Israeli fighter jets also struck an apartment in the Zeitoun neighborhood, leaving four civilians dead.
In central Gaza, five Palestinians were killed, including women and children, and several injured in an Israeli drone strike on tents for displaced families in the Bureij refugee camp.
Four people were killed, including two children, near the al-Saftawi roundabout in northern Gaza after being targeted by an Israeli strike.
In Gaza City’s al-Daraj neighborhood, an airstrike killed a Palestinian man near the Al-Sahaba Medical Complex, where civilians had gathered.
Artillery fire also struck tents sheltering displaced people near the Sheikh Radwan reservoir in central Gaza, wounding several people, who were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment.
In the southern city of Khan Younis, a child was killed and others injured in an Israeli strike near displacement tents close to Itta station in the al-Mawasi area.
Separately in Khan Younis, Israeli air and artillery strikes targeted Al-Hannawi School, used as a shelter for displaced families, killing one Palestinian and injuring several civilians.
The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 58,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
