At least nine people were killed and 28 others injured in US-Israeli attacks targeting the northwestern city of Tabriz on Tuesday, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.
The strikes also damaged 20 homes in the city, the agency said.
The number of fatalities increased to nine, while injuries rose to 28 in Tuesday's attacks on Tabriz, the report noted.
Two residential locations inside the city were hit overnight, the crisis management department in the East Azerbaijan province said in an earlier statement carried by Mehr News Agency.
Six people were killed and nine others injured in one of the attacks that targeted the Shahid Qarabaghi neighborhood in the city, while rescue and debris removal operations were underway, the statement said.
Another strike hit the Imam Hussein neighborhood, damaging infrastructure facilities, the department also said.
The US and Israel have maintained airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, killing so far over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
