    5.3 magnitude quake shakes northern Iraq

    ERBIL, Iraq 

    An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 struck the Sulaymaniyah area in northern Iraq on Tuesday.

    According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake's epicenter was in the Baynijwayn district in Sulaymaniyah and was recorded at 18.12 p.m., local time (1512GMT).
