BAGHDAD
At least five victims were killed and nine others wounded Thursday in bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
Lieut. al-Mahmoud told Anadolu Agency that two soldiers were among the dead in southern Bagdad.
Separately, Mahmoud said the bodies of a teenage girl and a woman were found in the Al-Abadi and Al-Saab areas of the city.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Iraq has suffered a devastating security vacuum since when Daesh captured the northern city of Mosul and overran large swathes of territory in the northern and western parts of the country.
According to the UN, more than 3.4 million residents are now displaced in Iraq -- more than half of them children -- while more than 10 million are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance.
