BAGHDAD
Four Iraqis were killed and 12 others were injured Friday in acts of violence in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, according to a security source.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity, an Iraqi police officer said that “three people were injured after the detonation of an explosive device targeted a group of security forces and members of al-Sahwat (Iraqi Sunni tribal fighters), in al-Madain district, southeast Baghdad.”
“A second explosion took place in the same area targeting paramedics, killing two and injuring two others,” he added.
In al-Mahmudiya district in southern Baghdad, the same police officer said two civilians were killed and seven others injured, following the detonation of an explosive device.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
