Three people were killed on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the town of Jebbayn in southern Lebanon.

Israeli aircraft targeted a house in Jebbayn in the district of Tyre, resulting in the death of three people, eyewitnesses told Anadolu, without providing further details.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on the border town of Zahajra.

Hezbollah said in a statement on Saturday that Ali Reda Harb "was martyred on the road of Jerusalem.”

This raised the number of Hezbollah's fatalities to 281, as a result of clashes with the Israeli army since Oct. 8, 2023.

The group said in another statement that it “targeted the deployment of Israeli enemy soldiers east of the settlement of Even Menachem with rocket weapons ... and the espionage equipment at the Hanita site with appropriate weapons and destroyed it.”

Hezbollah fighters also targeted the Roueissat Al-Alam site in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills of Lebanon, targeting Israeli soldiers in its vicinity with artillery shells, according to the statement.

Tension has flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

The border tension comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed over 34,000 people following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas last Oct. 7.
