3 Israeli soldiers injured in West Bank incidents
Israeli army kills 20-year-old Palestinian near Hebron

JERUSALEM/ISTANBUL
Three Israeli soldiers were injured Wednesday in shooting, ramming and stabbing attacks in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the Israeli army said a Palestinian "opened fire on an army force conducting an operational activity near the Reihan checkpoint close to Jenin."
Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported that two Israeli soldiers were wounded in the shooting.
It added that the injured were in serious to moderate condition.
In the southern West Bank, the army said that in a separate incident, an individual drove to the Mount Hebron area, attempted a car-ramming attack against a military force, and then exited the vehicle and tried to stab a soldier.
Channel 12 reported that an Israeli soldier was wounded at the scene and was in moderate condition and that the attacker was "eliminated."
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the General Authority for Civil Affairs, the official liaison with Israel, informed it that Abd al-Fattah al-Huribat, 20, was killed by Israeli gunfire near Hebron.
Israeli forces raided the town of Dura south of Hebron and stormed the home of al-Huribat’s family, said eyewitnesses speaking to Anadolu, without providing further details.
More than 960 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,000 injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023, according to Palestinian figures.
In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land illegal and demanded the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
